Meet the Author
Jack Tymann has spent much of his life doing business and engaging with top-level leaders in seventy-five nations throughout the world. The final decades of his private/public sector career included roles as Chair of the Presidents’ (Clinton/Mubarak) for the Middle East, President and CEO of Westinghouse International, and Senior Advisor in the U.S. Congress.
He prefers that his bio focus not on specific achievements and recognitions, but on what he has learned during his unique life journey.
Jack has engaged in international business, corporate and private-sector leadership assignments, entrepreneurship, teaching, mentoring, and public service – in boardrooms, palaces, government facilities, and with everyday people in every corner of the globe. He has encountered everyone from presidents and kings to farmers, refugees, children, and families simply trying to build better lives.
Those experiences convinced him that despite enormous differences in cultures, circumstances, and beliefs, human beings share remarkably similar hopes and dreams: to discover true purpose; to matter and contribute; to live in peace; and to understand why they have been placed on this planet and act accordingly.
That conviction inspired WHY AM I HERE? – ADAM IN TAOLAND, an inspirational fantasy that follows one man's journey through love, family, ambition, success, temptation, loss, mortality, forgiveness, and ultimately selfless service.
Throughout the pages of this novel are many of the lessons Jack has learned and feels called upon to share.
To do this, Jack created the magical world of Taoland not to escape reality, but to see it differently – and to explore the question that follows each of us as we journey through life:
Why am I here?
Jack resides in Naples, Florida, surrounded by family and friends he cares deeply about. He loves being a writer.
